''A lot of software in radio astronomy is based on Python. For the last 2 years I’ve been working on improving the quality and usability of scientific tools written in this field. A key technology principle in tackling this problem is Docker, a relatively new but amazingly useful and promising tool. Docker makes it possible to develop and deploy complex and often fragile data reduction pipelines in a more controlled way, from macbook to cloud computing platform and private cluster. ''
